What is ‘Data Transfer’?

Data Transfer here refers to the amount of outbound traffic from your website to your visitor’s browser. So the more traffic your site attracts, the higher the data usage. This is how you can estimate the data transfer you need:

Let’s say your web page is 30KB and you have 5 photos of 20KB each. This means that every visitor to this page will download a total of 130KB of data. If a thousand visitors download these files a month, you will have a monthly data transfer of 126.95 MB (130KB X 1000 / 1024).
