SIGNETIQUE’s Data Center partner currently operates a 20,000 sq. ft. IDC in Hong Kong with world-class facilities including 7 x 24 Uninterrupted Power Supply, Redundant Air-Conditioning, Fire Detection & Suppression System, Water Leakage Detection System, Security & Access Control, High Capacity Network Backbones, 7 x 24 Network Monitoring and Technical Support. This provides an ideal environment for our customers to colocate their business servers for reliable and stable connection to the internet round-the-clock.
Uninterrupted Power Supply
The whole IDC facility is powered by centralized Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) in redundant N+1 configuration to ensure 99.999% uptime. Apart from the dual power sources from China Light & Power (CLP), full-scaled dedicated diesel power generator is installed for consistent power backup.
Redundant Air-Conditioning
7 x 24 air-conditioning is provided in the IDC facility to maintain the steady temperature and relative humidity for all the hardware equipment. Each room has redundant Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) units to ensure the highest service availability. In order to maximize the heat dissipation of all the hardware equipment, down flow air with raised floor design is deployed for each cabinet.
Fire Detection And Suppression System
Distributed temperature and smoke sensors are installed in the whole area of the IDC facility to detect fire alarm. In case of fire, centralized FM200 fire suppression system will be used to extinguish the fire to ensure that there is no hazard to the hardware equipment.
Water Leakage Detection System
Distributed water sensors are installed under all the raise floor area to detect water leakage. Early alarm will be raised for prompt action to minimize the possible damage that might occur.
Security And Access Control
The whole IDC facility is under 7 x 24 CCTV surveillance with distributed cameras installed in each room and video data capture is being kept. Also, there is security guard and secure access card system at the IDC entrance to allow 7 x 24 client physical access with authentication and authorization.
Closed Cabinet
High quality 19’’ industrial standards compliant cabinets are used to securely host the colocated hardware equipment of the customers. Each cabinet has lock & key for security and is equipped with ventilation holes & cooling fans for maximizing the heat dissipation of the equipment inside. Also, dual power feeds and dual Fast Ethernet connections are provided for each cabinet for resiliency.
7 x 24 Network Monitoring
All the core network equipment and circuits are administered and 7 x 24 closely monitored by professionally trained and certified engineers with CCIE, CCNP, and CCNA qualifications to ensure the stability and availability of the internet connections.
7 x 24 Technical Support
Network operators are 7 x 24 on-duty in the IDC to provide direct technical hotline support and remote hand support service, including, equipment power cycling, equipment status monitoring, command key-in, and change of tape in backup drive, to the colocation customers.
High Capacity Network Backbones
The IDC is powered by high capacity core network backbones with Gigabit Ethernet and ATM in redundant design. With redundant Gigabit Ethernet circuits to HKIX and expandable circuits to different international internet upstream providers, all the colocated servers could enjoy stable and high-speed connection to both Hong Kong internet and international internet.
